    Hengli‘s 20 million tons per year refining and chemical integration project is a major project listed in the documents of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. It is also a strategic project in the revitalisation of Northeast China. Hengli moves with the times and has set a benchmark in the petrochemical industry, with its high engineering construction speed, full process start-up speed, and industry record production speed. This can be accredited to its high-level strategic planning, quality planning and construction, and efficient management.
  • Petrochemicals

    Hengli (Dalian Changxing Island) Industrial Park is one of the largest and most advanced Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) production bases with an annual production capacity of up to 12 million tons. The PTA project adopts the internationally advanced technology from Invista, where its characteristics include large investment scale, strong production capacity, high processing standard and low energy consumption. It has set several international records in the industry and has received the accolade of being the first batch of national's green factories. Once the 5 million tons per year project at the Hengli (Huizhou) Industrial Park is completed, Hengli Group’s annual PTA production capacity can reach 17 million tons.
  • Fine chemicals

    To fully tap on the advantages of refining and chemical integration, Hengli (Dalian Changxing Island) Industrial Park’s projects would yield an annual production of 1.5 million tons ethylene and 1.8 million tons ethylene glycol (EG). Leveraging Technip, Scientific Design and other advanced technologies, using naphtha and dry gas produced from the projects as raw materials, Hengli is set to construct the world’s largest ethylene, ethylene glycol and styrene plants, which will reduce China’s reliance on high-end chemical raw materials imports, such as ethylene glycol and polyolefin.

  • Chemical fiber

    Hengli Group has built three major chemical fiber production bases in Jiangsu Province, namely Suzhou, Nantong and Suqian. They make use of imported world class equipment, fully digitalised intelligent spinning equipment, integrating the newest internet and IoT (Internet of Things) technology. Currently, Hengli has grown into the world’s largest polyester drawn yarn producer; it is also one of the largest production bases of super bright fiber, polyester composite fiber and high-quality polyester industrial fiber in China. It is also a high-tech enterprise which develops and produces fiber for domestic and industrial uses. 

  • Engineering Plastics

    Relying on Hengli Group's own polyester technology, Kanghui New Material Technology Co., Ltd. has fully brought in the world's advanced production line. Currently, Kanghui has completed the production line with an annual output of 240,000 tons of PBT engineering plastics, which yields high production efficiency, high product quality and low production cost, amongst others. By end 2020, Kanghui’s new material project with an annual output of 33,000 tons of PBS-like biodegradable polyester will be put into production. In 2021, the deal to produce an annual 900,000 tons PBS-like biodegradable plastic project, also China’s largest scale and highest production capacity project, was inked. Production has commenced for the project which could yield an annual production of 450,000 tons biodegradable new materials. 
  • BOPET films

    Hengli has brought in production lines from the world’s renowned German's Brückner Group, which utilises international advanced cutting-edge technology to produce 386,000 tons of new Biaxially Oriented polyester films (BOPET) and 400,000 tons of Film grade polyester chips (PET) annually. Kanghui New Material Technology Co., Ltd independently developed 4.5 µm ultra-thin film and hot stamping transfer base film, making Hengli the first enterprise in the world to produce 4.5 µm products using direct film casting technology. To a certain extent, this has enhanced the overall manufacturing standards of China's BOPET polyester film industry.
  • Textiles

    Hengli Textiles is a vertical extension of Hengli Group’s industrial chain. It moves with the times by optimising its facilities and equipment and integrating resources. It also became a pioneer in the industry to leverage big data in establishing a “textile cloud” resource sharing platform. By transforming traditional weaving into a fully digitalised process managed by data, a smart weaving enterprise is born.
  • Trading

    Hengli Group amalgamates the concept and technology of big data and Internet+Trade, establishes specialized business units and integrates domestic and foreign trade. In line with the “Belt and Road Initiative”, Hengli set up an international procurement hub for crude oil and chemical products in Singapore to participate in third party trading actively.
